S. Jakarta Government Socialize Jalan HR Rasuna Said Arrangement

The South Jakarta Government conducted the socialization of Jalan HR Rasuna Said arrangement on the east side. The activity was attended by 60 participants of building owners and local government ranks.

South Jakarta Government Secretary, Mukhlisin said Jalan HR Rasuna Said is one of the main and strategic corridors in South Jakarta.

"This area is the center of government, business and public service activities which have an important role in supporting mobility and economic growth," he said, Friday (2/27).

Rasuna Said Development Adopts Complete Street Concept

He explained that the east side of Jalan HR Rasuna Said arrangement will be run by Jakarta Public Works Agency.

"We invite all elements of society, especially building owners and stakeholders to provide support and actively participate, including maintaining order during the work process," he explained.

He noted that construction activities have the potential to create disruptions, including temporary traffic congestion. Therefore, effective coordination, communication, and outreach are essential to ensure smooth progress and long-term benefits for the community.

Meanwhile, Head of South Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency, Rifki Rismal said the scope of the arrangement includes cutting iron and dismantling monorail poles that are no longer in use.

Moreover, he added, the arrangement of the road corridor will adopt the complete street concept, namely the concept of the road as an inclusive shared space that takes into account all road users in a balanced manner, from pedestrians, cyclists, public transportation users, to motorized vehicles.

"It is hoped that this will create a more orderly, safe, environmentally friendly road system that supports sustainable mobility," he hoped.
