West Jakarta Shuts Down Padel Court in Kembangan

The West Jakarta City Administration officially sealed a Padel sports facility on Monday, located along Jalan Puri Indah Raya in Kembangan Selatan Urban Village.

The owner and management completely disregarded every warning issued

According to Iin Mutmainah, Mayor of West Jakarta, the structure was shuttered as it was illegally constructed on government-owned Green Open Space (RTH) and lacked the necessary building permits.

"As a result, we have moved forward with a permanent re-sealing of the Atlas Padel facility today,” she expressed.

She furthered the closure follows a lengthy enforcement process dating back to 2025. Her party had previously issued three separate formal warnings and a final, permanent cease-and-desist order on November 4, 2025.

“The owner and management completely disregarded every warning issued to them,” Iin noted.

She emphasized that under Gubernatorial Regulation No. 31/2022, no structures or activities unrelated to green open space are permitted on land specifically designated for that purpose.

Besides affixing seal banners, the Jakarta Human Settlements, Spatial Planning, and Land Agency (CKTRP) also padlocked the entrance to the facility’s parking lot.

"No structures are permitted on land designated as green open space," the Mayor asserted firmly.

Jakarta CKTRP Agency Head, Vera Revina Sari added, her agency has formally called on the property owner to begin dismantling the structure immediately.

"Hope the owner will follow through with the demolition as soon as possible. Under existing regulations, the owner has a maximum of three months to comply with the order," she added.
