Illegal Building in Kebon Kacang 30 Controlled

As many as 31 illegal buildings built on sidewalk of Jalan Kebon Kacang 30, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, were controlled by joint personnel.

Head of Tanah Abang District, Dwiarti Indriani Utami said her side had conducted socializarion before this. The illegal building was dismantled since Monday (3/9) up to Tuesday (3/10).

"Dozens of illegal buildings that have been demolished were unlicensed business kiosks. The buildings stood on the sidewalk," she said.

She added that there is no relocation or compensation for the owners of these buildings, because they do not have a business permit.

According to her, the joint personnel also controlled vehicles parked on the roadside.

"Demolition of illegal buildings and illegal parking in response to residents' aspirations regarding the chaos in the Plaza Indonesia area," she admitted.
