Pramono Inaugurates 26 Home Renovation Units

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung attended the inauguration of the house renovation program, while symbolically handing over the keys to the houses to a number of residents, on Jalan Serdang Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Monday (3/16).

This program represents a concrete step by the Jakarta Provincial Government and Baznas Bazis Jakarta to provide decent, safe, and healthy housing for residents. It also reinforces the commitment to building Jakarta as an inclusive and equitable city for all levels of society, regardless of religious background.

A total of 10 houses in Central Jakarta, 4 in West Jakarta, 11 in South Jakarta, and 1 in North Jakarta were renovated with a budget of Rp 50-55 million per house and a work period of three weeks to 1 month.

During the renovation period, Baznas Bazis also covers the rental costs for temporary housing for homeowners.

"I ask the organizers, especially Baznas Bazis, to collaborate with BUMD and BUMN, so that all religions are given the opportunity to receive this house renovation," said Pramono.

Pramono also targeted 633 houses to be renovated this year. He also expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with all parties, including Baznas Bazis, regionally-owned enterprises (BUMD), state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and the private sector.

"Today, for 2026, we are planning around 600 houses. Then everything for 2025 has been implemented," he added.

The Governor encouraged the continued expansion of the house renovation program, which utilizes funds from Baznas Bazis, to ensure that the zakat, infaq, and alms collected by Baznas Bazis can truly benefit the community through various programs, including education and public welfare.

On this occasion, Pramono also took the time to chat with one of the owners of the renovated house, Atun (73). Atun, who is elderly, complained to the Governor about his eye health.

"Both of her eyes can no longer read or see and she asked for surgery and I have agreed," Pramono admitted.
