Eid Homecoming: Transportation Supervision Urged to Be Tightened

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin requested Jakarta Transportation Agency to tighten the homecoming fleets supervision. It is aimed to ensure all vehicles are in prime condition and roadworthy.

He emphasized that traveler safety must be a top priority in organizing homecoming transportation. Khoirudin continued, the Transportation Agency must ensure that every vehicle in operation has undergone a thorough technical inspection before carrying passengers.

"I asked the agency that the vehicles transporting the public are in good condition and roadworthy," he said, Tuesday (3/17).

According to him, road accidents are generally influenced by two main factors: human factors and vehicle conditions. Therefore, strict monitoring of both aspects is essential.

Khoirudin hopes that drivers of homecoming transportation will be in good physical condition and adhere to safety regulations. Furthermore, vehicles must undergo regular checks to prevent technical problems during the journey.

"We hope that this homecoming trip will be safe and there will be no accidents," he added.

He also requested that terminal heads closely monitor the operation of homecoming transportation vehicles. Optimal oversight is believed to minimize the potential for accidents and travel problems.

Khoirudin continurd that transportation readiness is a crucial factor in ensuring a smooth homecoming flow. With roadworthy vehicles and drivers ready for duty, residents are expected to be able to return to their hometowns safely and comfortably.

"I hope that potential risks can be minimized through monitoring by the terminal head and the Transportation Agency ranks," he stated.
