Homecoming Returning Flow at Tanjung Priok Terminal Remains Normal

The homecoming returning flow at four days after Eid was seen at Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, North Jakarta. Passenger arrival activity was seen to increase, although it has not shown a significant spike.

250 passengers had arrived

Head of Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal, Sandi, said 2,631 passengers have arrived by using 274 buses during periods of Sunday (3/22) to Tuesday (3/24).

"From this morning until noon, only around 250 passengers had arrived on a total of around 30 buses. We predict the arrivals will pick up again this afternoon and evening," he said, Wednesday (3/25).

Sandi explained that the peak of the first wave of return flow occurred on Tuesday (March 24). Meanwhile, the peak of the second wave is expected to occur on Saturday (March 28) and Sunday (March 29), in line with the resumption of school activities this coming Monday.

"The number of arriving passengers has not seen a significant increase. Conditions at Tanjung Priok Terminal remain conducive," he explained.

According to him, the returning flow was dominated by passengers from Central and East Java.

"Joint officers remain on standby, including at the Health and Security Posts to ensure the smooth and safe journey of travelers returning to Jakarta," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the AKAP bus passengers from Magetan, East Java, Yudi (38) admitted that he had been going home since D-3 of Eid and returned to Jakarta early because he would be starting work soon.

"The journey was smooth and safe, although we did experience some traffic jams. Overall, it was comfortable," he admitted.

According to him, transportation services are currently improving. However, he hopes that facilities and travel information can continue to be improved in the future.
