Munjirin Orders Prompt Fix for East Jakarta’s Damaged Roads

East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin ordered immediate repairs for damaged roads, including those affected by natural causes and utility excavation sites.

He stated that road user safety and comfort are the priority and insisted that all damaged areas be marked with visible signage, particularly for nighttime safety.

"We have directed our teams to provide immediate repairs or emergency patching for potholes in East Jakarta," he stated, Tuesday (3/31).

He noted that because patchwork is only a short-term solution, constant field supervision is required to ensure that repairs are redone if the road deteriorates again.

"Coordination with related stakeholders is ongoing to ensure repairs follow SOPs, including on Jalan Raya Condet," he noted.

He admitted that the construction would likely impact local activities and hoped for a swift completion.

"We are also working with PAM Jaya to fast-track road restoration after their piping network project is finished," he stated.

Munjirin called on the public to report potentially dangerous road defects for swift repairs.

"Residents can use the JAKI app or contact regional officials in their respective areas," he stated firmly.
