Joint Team Repairs Potholes on Jalan Raya Ragunan

A joint team carried out road repairs on Jalan Raya Ragunan in Pasar Minggu Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-district, South Jakarta, to improve safety and comfort for road users.

"There are three locations planned for today,"

South Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency's Road and Bridge Maintenance officer Deddy said the repairs were carried out using a patching method with a liquid concrete mixture.

"The process is similar to regular cement mixing, but here we add a liquid concrete compound as a hardener to make the structure stronger and more durable," he explained, Wednesday (4/1).

Repairs are underway at three locations, carried out by his team with support from local Orange Task Force members.

"There are three locations planned for today. God willing, if weather conditions allow, the work will be completed today. Otherwise, we will focus on one or two locations first, as each requires monitoring for up to three hours until the concrete fully hardens," he added.

He highlighted that the repairs aim to make the road safer and more comfortable for motorists.

"We will carry out similar work at other locations in stages. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to road users during the repairs," he said.

Meanwhile, a resident, Achmad Fairuz (36), appreciated the joint team for carrying out the repairs. He said the potholes had been there for some time and posed a risk to residents.

"Hopefully the patches will be strong and long-lasting. I also hope other locations will receive proper attention," he noted.
