Ratusan Personel Gabungan Gelar Razia di Jalan Raya Bogor

Joint Personnel Clear Sidewalks Along Jalan Raya Bogor

Joint personnel were deployed to clear street vendors occupying sidewalks along Jalan Raya Bogor in Ciracas Sub-district.

"...to ensure there is no more street vendor activity in the area,"

The operation was led directly by East Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) head Muhammadong, involving 200 joint personnel from various agencies, including Satpol PP, the Indonesian military and police, Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) personnel, community protection units (Linmas), as well as the Environment and Transportation sub-agencies.

Street Vendors and Illegal Parking on Jalan Serdang 1 Cleared

Muhammadong said the operation was focused in the afternoon during rush hour, when street vendor activity tends to increase and often triggers traffic congestion, particularly along the route from Cililitan to Pasar Rebo.

"These street vendors are in violation of Regional Regulation No. 8/2007 on Public Order, as they occupy sidewalks designated solely for pedestrians," he explained on Thursday (4/9).

He added that the operation was carried out through a humane and persuasive approach, backed by firm and professional enforcement, to clear sidewalks of vendors.

"Officers are not here to suppress, but to organize and offer solutions to create order and comfort for the public," he noted.

To prevent vendors from returning to sidewalks and road shoulders, Muhammadong said his team will conduct routine monitoring daily for at least the next two weeks.

"We will also set up an integrated post to ensure there is no more street vendor activity in the area," he stated.
