The Central Government has enacted Government Regulation No. 17/2025, which governs Electronic Systems for Child Protection—commonly referred to as PP Tunas. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his hope that this policy will help children redirect their focus back to their schooling.
I hope Jakarta’s children can focus on the core lessons
"Above all, I hope Jakarta’s children can focus on the core lessons that are their primary responsibility at this time," Pramono stated in Kebon Melati, Central Jakarta, Friday (4/10).
He is convinced that the city’s youth hold high ambitions, which require deep concentration on learning without the distractions posed by the negative side of cyberspace.

"I believe Jakarta's children generally have high dreams and a strong desire to learn from any source. Hence, instead of being preoccupied with such play, it is far better to focus on studying," he stated.
The Jakarta government has pledged its commitment to backing the regulation, starting with the formulation of a Gubernatorial Regulation as a follow-up measure.
"The highest number of users in the nation, particularly among the minors covered by Tunas, are Jakarta residents who are more tech-savvy. Therefore, we will be fully supporting this effort," Pramono stressed.
