"The repair was carried out this year as materials were available and field surveys confirmed the work could proceed," he said on Monday (4/23).

Hendi explained that the repairs were conducted using asphalt paving along a 650-meter stretch, with a road width ranging from 1.5 to 1.7 meters.

"We deployed 12 yellow troops personnel along with supporting equipment, assisted by four Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) personnel," he noted.

He expressed hope that the road improvements would enhance comfort and safety for road users, while also improving the surrounding environment.

"We hope this will ease residents’ mobility and create a more orderly neighborhood," he added.

Meanwhile, Tukiman, head of RT 12/02 in Jati Padang, praised the Pasar Minggu Bina Marga team, noting that the asphalt quality is good and expected to be long-lasting.

"This paving work has long been awaited by residents. Previously, the road was in poor condition and full of potholes, disrupting daily activities. We hope the repairs will provide long-term benefits for the community," he said.
