Drainage Repairs on Jalan Tambora Gang 8 Completed

The West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has finished a 25-meter drainage repair project on Jalan Tambora Gang 8, covering RT 02 and RT 03, RW 03, Tambora Urban Village.

Water from the channel frequently overflowed and caused flooding during heavy rain

Rohili, Tambora Sub-district SDA Unit Coordinator, said the project followed up on residents' proposals from the 2025 Musrenbang.

"Residents requested the repairs as water from the channel frequently overflowed and caused flooding during heavy rain," he explained on Wednesday (4/15).

He said repairs to the drainage, which is 60 centimeters wide and 30 centimeters high, have been ongoing since Monday (3/30).

"We deployed 11 personnel daily for the work. In addition to repairing the retaining walls using formwork methods, the project also included covering the drainage with precast concrete," he informed.

Although the initial phase has been completed, Rohili said residents have requested an additional 35 meters of drainage repairs. The extension is connected on one side to the previously repaired section on Jalan Tambora Gang 8.

"The initial section has been completed and only final touches remain. For the extension, work is expected to begin within the next one to two days," he added.
