To support this program, 45 Public Infrastructure and Facilities Management (PPSU) personnel are required to collect non-organic waste regularly.

Head of Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Rusli Abidin said each PPSU personnel is targeted to collect at least six kilograms of non-organic waste per month. This collection is part of an integrated waste management system within the urban village.

"Weighing of non-organic waste is carried out once a week at the urban village waste bank," he said, Friday (4/24).

Rusli explained that in each weighing session, the average amount of non-organic waste collected reached around 100 kilograms.

"Sales results reached up to Rp 800 thousand," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the PPSU personnel, Cecep Ghori Muslim (42) admitted that he had been used to sorting waste for a long time before this program existed.

"Non-organic waste has a sales value that can help meet daily needs," he admitted.

The types of waste collected include plastic bottles and glasses, cardboard, paper, aluminum, iron, and various other non-organic materials.

"Organic waste isn't simply thrown away. We process it into compost, and we also cultivate maggots as part of sustainable waste management," he stated.
