"We are deeply saddened by her passing in the train accident in Bekasi. May the deceased find peace in the highest place with God, and may her family be granted patience and resilience during this difficult time," he remarked, Wednesday (4/29).
He described Harum as a hardworking person who helped provide for her family. She was a supervisor for a private firm in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
During the accident, she was commuting home to Tambun, Bekasi. She was on the commuter line that collided with the Argo Bromo express train.
Munjirin further stated that the East Jakarta City administration would facilitate the funeral at Cipayung Public Cemetery, working in coordination with the local Parks and City Forests Sub-agency.
At the same time, Sri Lestari (58) spoke of the deep pain of losing her firstborn child. She thanked Mayor Munjirin and the joint task force for their support during the evacuation and identification process at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.
"She seemed to have a premonition before she died. She kept insisting on coming back to Setu, despite being settled in Tambun," she said.
She added that just a week earlier, Harum had asked her friends to get together at her parents' home.
"I never thought that her wish to gather everyone would come true like this—in grief, with everyone coming to mourn her passing instead," she noted.
Notably, Harum's remains arrived at the family home at approximately 10 PM on Tuesday (4/28), following the identification process at the hospital.
Despite having her own family and residing in Tambun, the deceased had consistently supported her parents' needs in Setu.
Her passing has left a profound sense of grief, not only for her family but also for the local residents who knew her as a caring and hardworking individual.
