150 Sacks of Trash Hauled from Two Tomang Channels

Public Facilities and Infrastructure Maintenance (PPSU) personnel from Tomang Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, removed 150 sacks of trash and mud from drainage channels on Jalan Mandala Utara RW 04 and Jalan Tomang Utara RW 06 on Wednesday (4/29).

Tomang Urban Village Head, Mansur, stated this cleanup action, involving 50 'Orange Troop' personnel, is the realization of the 'Gerebek Buka' program (Wednesday-Thursday Cleanliness and Mutual Cooperation Movement), which is conducted weekly.
"Tomang area has not faced any flooding issues so far. These environmental cleaning activities are a preventive measure against floods," he expressed, Thursday (4/30).

Besides clearing the channels, those personnel also performed waste sorting. Inorganic waste, such as plastics and other items with resale value, will be processed at the waste bank.
