South Jakarta Metro Resort Police to deploy hundreds personnel to secure the commemoration of International Labor Day or May Day which falls today, Thursday (5/1). Those personnel will be on guard in three demonstration locations in South Jakarta.

Especially in South Jakarta, the labors’ gathering point is at Lebak Bulus Carrefour in front of ITC Kuningan on Jalan Dr Satrio Setiabudi. Their destinations will be HI Roundabout and Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium

“Those three locations are Manpower and Transmigration Ministry office on Jalan Gatot Subroto which guarded by 447 personnel as well as Health Ministry office and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, each guarded by 100 personnel,” stated South Jakarta Metro Resort Police Deputy Chief AKBP Musa Tampubolon, Wednesday (4/30).

According to Tampubolon, his party will also deploy officers in plain clothes along South Jakarta toll roads.

“We’re also placing officers at toll gates in plain clothes to prevent attention from the demonstrators,” he said.

Tampubolon hopes that every authority would help to secure May Day commemoration, including South Jakarta Satpol PP.

“ Especially in South Jakarta, the labors’ gathering point is at Lebak Bulus Carrefour in front of ITC Kuningan on Jalan Dr Satrio Setiabudi. Their destinations will be HI Roundabout and Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium ,” he informed.
