Dozens of MSMEs Enliven City Hall Bazaar, May 18-21

The Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) is once again hosting an MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) bazaar at the Multipurpose Room, Grha Ali Sadikin, Jakarta City Hall, running from May 18 to 21, 2026.

This bazaar is a tangible manifestation

Themed "Jakpreneur Berkarya Menuju 5 Abad Jakarta" (Jakpreneur Creating Toward 5 Centuries of Jakarta), the bazaar features 54 MSMEs fostered under the Jakpreneur program. These businesses showcase a variety of superior products ranging from culinary delights and fashion to handicrafts and other creative goods.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated that this event is a strategic effort by the regional government to expand market access for MSMEs while enhancing the competitiveness of local entrepreneurs ahead of Jakarta’s 500th-anniversary celebrations.

"This bazaar is a tangible manifestation of the Jakarta government's commitment to supporting MSME growth so they can 'level up' and compete in broader markets. Beyond being a space for promotion and transactions, this activity is expected to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jakarta," she expressed, Tuesday (5/19).

Ratu explained that the theme was chosen to demonstrate that Jakarta's MSMEs possess immense potential to continue evolving and remain a vital part of Jakarta’s journey toward becoming a global city.

"Those 54 Jakpreneur-assisted MSMEs at City Hall is also a momentum to introduce high-quality local products to the public and employees within the Jakarta government environment," she added.

Further, Ratu noted that the Jakpreneur program does not only focus on business mentoring but also opens opportunities for collaboration and marketing to ensure MSMEs can grow sustainably. Hopefully, the event will positively impact turnover and help entrepreneurs expand their business networks.

"The Jakarta government will continue to provide various empowerment programs so that Jakarta's MSMEs become more resilient, innovative, and ready to welcome Jakarta’s 500th year," she continued.

Her party also invited the public to attend and liven up the bazaar by purchasing and supporting local products made by Jakarta’s entrepreneurs.

"Public participation is expected to motivate MSMEs to continue creating, innovating, and growing together toward a Jakarta that is advanced and globally competitive," she concluded.

On the first day of the bazaar, the "Gang Dagang" program was officially launched. A collaboration between PT Netzme Kreasi Indonesia and Ruangguru, the program aims to improve financial and digital literacy among MSMEs in Jakarta.

Visitor enthusiasm was evident from day one. Various MSME products received positive responses from attendees, who took the opportunity to buy quality local goods while supporting the growth of Jakarta’s grassroots economy.
