"We prepared 20 bins to collect residual and organic waste at 10 locations, so there are two bins per location," he said, Tuesday (5/19).
The provision of these independent trash bins makes it easier for residents to sort their waste. Then, organic waste is collected daily by East Jakarta Environmental Sub-agency staff to be shredded and turned into a pulp at the sub-agency's office.
He added that with 300 families in the area, it is necessary to add 15-17 sorting trash bins.
"We will try to collaborate with CSR to provide sorting trash bins," he added.
Secretary of RW 02 Cipayung Urban Village, Irwan Mulyadi stated currently, the agency has only received five trash bins from the East Jakarta Environmental Sub-gency for eight neighborhood units (RTs). One bin will be used to collect organic waste from residents in two RTs.
"We hope to see more trash cans. At least 1-2 trash cans per neighborhood unit," he stated.
He also appealed to residents to continue sorting waste from their homes.
