Residents Hope Cinta Island Green Open Space to Boost Tourist Visits

Local residents have expressed their appreciation for the development of the "Cinta Island" Green Open Space (RTH) in the Cinta Bridge (Love Bridge) area, Tidung Island Sub-district, South Seribu Islands Sub-district.

The green space is expected to enhance the aesthetics of the prime tourist destination while further increasing the tourism appeal of Tidung Island.
RT 07/02 Resident, Tidung Island Sub-district, Dewa Kusuma (25) stated his full support for the area’s revitalization. He believes the green space will create a fresh and more attractive atmosphere for visitors and serve as a point of local pride.

The similar sentiment was expressed by Munawar, a member of the South Seribu Islands Regency Council.
He assessed that the new facility is expected to have a positive impact on tourist comfort while simultaneously boosting the local economy.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the local government for maintaining intensive communication throughout the entire process, from the planning stage to the construction of the Cinta Island Green Open Space," he stated.
Meanwhile, Wibi Abdi, Head of the Lighting Section for Seribu Islands Technical Service Unit (UKT) 2, explained that the development of the Cinta Island Green Open Space is part of the Cinta Bridge area revitalization, initiated based on community aspirations.
He elaborated that the total construction area covers 755.17 square meters with a 120-day work duration, starting from April 17 and scheduled for completion by August 2026.
"The project is being executed by PT Samuel Marpa Abadi under the technical supervision of PT Todo Consult," he concluded.
He noted that the facilities under construction include a sunset deck for enjoying the view, an iconic gateway, rinsing rooms, decorative lighting, and general area beautification.
"Thus far, the work progress has reached approximately 30 percent. We are continuously monitoring the project to ensure that construction proceeds optimally and the quality meets our expectations," he added.
Wibi hoped that this green space would eventually benefit the community while creating new income opportunities for the residents of Tidung Island.
"We hope the development process runs smoothly and achieves the desired quality. Besides Tidung Island, we're also currently revitalizing an area on Untung Jawa Island," he concluded.
