Find the Details of Commercial Photography Rates in City's Green Open Space

Jakarta Provincial Government through City Park and Forestry Agency emphasized that non-commercial photography activities in green open spaces, including Tebet Eco Park, are free of charge. However, commercial photography activities are subject to fees set by official retribution regulations.

Head of Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency, Fajar Sauri said free of charge is applied for public's activity and photography in the park, as long as it's non-commercial. He also urged the public to respect each other and ensure the comfort of other park users.

City Government Reaffirms Ban on Illegal Levies at Tebet Eco Park

"We emphasize that there are no prohibitions or fees for non-commercial photography activities in green open spaces, including parks, city forests, public parks, and green belts," he said, Tuesday (10/21).

He reminded that illegal levies are not permitted and can be reported through the official complaint channel of the Jakarta Provincial Government.

According to Jakarta Provincial Regulation Number 1/2024 about Regional Taxes and Regional Levies, commercial photography activities are subject to tariffs including:

• The use of forestry/urban forest facilities: Rp 1,000,000 per location/day (first 3 days)

• The use of location for filming: Rp 500,000 per location/day (first 3 days)

• Filming commercials, films, cinema in the park: Rp 5,000,000 per use (6 hours)

• The use of the cemetery park location for shooting/photo taking: Rp. 3,000,000 per location/day.

He explained that this provision was made to differentiate between private and commercial activities so that park management remains orderly and transparent.

“We want to ensure that parks remain inclusive and freely accessible public spaces for residents, while also providing legal certainty for commercial activities that utilize green open spaces," he stated.
