The Chairwoman of the Jakarta DWP, Lisniawati Uus Kuswanto, said that DWP Mengajar is the organization's flagship program in the field of education designed to bring children closer to the world of literacy through educational and fun activities.

"The DWP Mengajar program is the flagship program of the Jakarta Provincial Government's DWP in education sector. This time, we're inviting Dharma Siwi Kindergarten, our partner's school, to work together to foster an interest and love of literacy in children," she said.

During the event, children were invited to participate in various activities, from storytelling and singing together to pasting pictures. According to Lisniawati, a fun approach is an effective way to introduce literacy to children from an early age.

She hopes that this activity will not only bring joy, but also be able to foster reading and learning habits that will be beneficial for children's future development.

Furthermore, Lisniawati stated that families play a crucial role in fostering a culture of literacy. She believes that parents are a child's first and foremost educators.

Lebih lanjut, Lisniawati menyampaikan bahwa keluarga memiliki peran penting dalam membangun budaya literasi. Menurutnya, orang tua merupakan pendidik pertama dan utama bagi anak.

"Parents need to take the time to introduce reading, writing, storytelling, and various other literacy activities from an early age," she added.

According to Lisniawati, the DWP Mengajar program is part of an effort to support the implementation of 13 years of compulsory education, starting from early childhood education to high school level.

"We hope that all implementing units of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan can implement the DWP Mengajar program so that the spirit of literacy can reach more children in Jakarta," she hoped.
