Public Urged to Use Public Transit for GBK Events to Avoid Heavy Traffic

Members of the public are urged to use public transport to reach various national and international events held at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex, Central Jakarta, on June 6–7, 2026.

The lineup of events includes: EXO Planet #6 ExhOrizon in Jakarta at the Indonesia Arena; Raisa’s ‘Love & Let Go’ Live Concert at the JICC Plenary Hall; Polytron Indonesia Open 2026 at Istora Senayan; Jamu Nusantara Festival 2026 at Hutan Kota GBK; Hero E-Sport PUBG tournament at Tennis Indoor; Indofest 2026 at JICC Hall B; as well as several other activities spread throughout the GBK area and its surroundings.

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Budi Awaluddin, the GBK complex is projected to see a surge of 37,800 visitors on Saturday (6/6) and 43,000 on Sunday (6/7).

Traffic Measures Prepared to Ease Congestion Around GBK This Weekend

To manage this, he emphasized that public transport remains the most effective way to bypass traffic density in the vicinity.

“We invite the public to use Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and the Commuter Line for a more convenient, secure, and efficient travel experience,” he expressed, Friday (6/5).

The GBK precinct is well-integrated with multiple public transportation options, including Transjakarta. Several corridors and routes provide access via Senayan Bank Jakarta Bus Stop, as follows:

1. Route 1 (Kota – Blok M)

• Saturday: 12 AM – 11:59 PM

• Sunday: 7 AM – 11:59 PM

2. Route 1F (Palmerah Station – Bundaran Senayan)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM - 10 PM

3. Route 1W (Blok M – Ancol)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

4. Route 3F (Kalideres – Senayan Bank Jakarta)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

5. Route 6M (Manggarai Station – Blok M)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

6. Route 6V (Ragunan – Senayan Bank Jakarta)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

7. Route 9C (Pinang Ranti – Bundaran Senayan)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

8. Route 10H (Tanjung Priok – Bundaran Senayan)

• Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM

• Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

Aside that, the following Transjakarta routes serve the Gelora Bung Karno 2 Bus Stop:

1. Route 1N (Tanah Abang – Blok M) | Saturday: 5 AM – 10 PM | Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

2. Route 1P (Senen – Blok M) | Saturday: 5 AM –10 PM | Sunday: 10 AM –10 PM

3. Route 6D (Tebet Station – Bundaran Senayan) | Saturday: 5 AM –10 PM | Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

Meanwhile, MRT Jakarta provides access through the Senayan and Istora Mandiri stations, operating from 5 AM to 12 AM (midnight).
