Mark your calendars for Sunday (6/7), as Car Free Day (CFD) returns to Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, from 5:30 AM to 9 AM. The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has carefully arranged traffic diversions and alternative routes to maintain safety and comfort for everyone in the area.

Jakarta Dishub Head, Budi Awaludin noted that hosting CFD on Jalan HR Rasuna Said reflects a commitment to creating public spaces that prioritize health, comfort, and sustainability.

He noted that throughout the event, the public can continue to take advantage of the public transportation services operating in the area. Seven Transjakarta routes will serve the CFD corridor, namely L13 (Puri Beta–Kuningan Express Flyover), 13E (Puri Beta–Kuningan Flyover), 4D (Pulo Gadung–Kuningan), 6 (Ragunan–Galunggung), 6A (Ragunan–City Hall via Kuningan), 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus), and 6M (Manggarai Station–Blok M).
Aside that, commuters are encouraged to use the Jabodebek LRT services for the Dukuh Atas–Harjamukti and Dukuh Atas–Jati Mulya lines via the Rasuna Said and Setiabudi LRT stations. Convenient Transjakarta boarding points are also available at the Setiabudi, Kuningan Madya, Karet Kuningan, and Rasuna Said bus stops.
He urged the public to plan their journeys in advance, follow the instructions of field personnel, and utilize public transportation.
“We hope this event will offer a delightful new experience while contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment for the people of Jakarta,” he concluded.
Notably, the HR Rasuna Said Car Free Day corridor covers a distance of around 4.4 kilometers. This stretch encompasses the North-South route from Jalan Gembira to Jalan Raya Casablanca, as well as the South-North route from Jalan Dr. Satrio to Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya/Setiabudi Tengah.
In an effort to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow, the Jakarta administration has prepared comprehensive traffic engineering plans in the Kuningan area.
To ensure smooth travel, ten alternative routes have been designated for the duration of CFD on Jalan HR Rasuna Said:
1. From the East (Manggarai) to the West (Tanah Abang/Karet): Traffic may proceed via Jalan Sultan Agung – Jalan Galunggung – Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III – Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur II – Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo, and so on.
2. From the West (Tanah Abang/Karet) to the East (Manggarai): Motorists can take Jalan R.M. Margono Djojohadikoesoemo – Jalan Galunggung – Jalan Sultan Agung, and so on.
3. From the North (Menteng) to the South (Kuningan): Traffic is diverted via Jalan Galunggung – Jalan Gembira – Jalan Kuningan Persada – Jalan Kuningan Mulya – Jalan Achmad Bakrie Barat – Jalan Casablanca, and so on.
4. From the South (Gatot Subroto) to the North (Menteng): Drivers may take Jalan HR Rasuna Said – Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio – Jalan Denpasar Raya – Jalan Setiabudi – Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya – Jalan Setiabudi Tengah – Jalan Galunggung; OR via Jalan Gilimanuk – Jalan Denpasar Raya – Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio – Jalan Denpasar Raya – Jalan Setiabudi – Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya – Jalan Setiabudi Tengah – Jalan Galunggung.
5. From the West (Tanah Abang/Karet) to the East (Kampung Melayu): Please use Jalan KH Mas Mansyur – Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio – Jalan Raya Casablanca.
6. From the East (Kampung Melayu) to the West (Tanah Abang/Karet): Traffic may follow Jalan Raya Casablanca – Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio – Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.
7. From the Karet Pedurenan Area toward the North (Menteng): Motorists can proceed via Jalan Denpasar Raya – Jalan Setiabudi – Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya – Jalan Setiabudi Tengah – Jalan Galunggung.
8. From the Karet Pedurenan Area toward the South (Gatot Subroto): Motorists may take Jalan Karet Pedurenan – Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio – Jalan HR Rasuna Said.
9. From the Taman Setiabudi Area toward the North (Menteng): Traffic is directed through Jalan Setiabudi Tengah – Jalan Galunggung.
10. From the Taman Setiabudi Area toward the South (Gatot Subroto): Motorists can travel via Jalan Setiabudi Tengah – Jalan Setiabudi Selatan – Jalan Denpasar – Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio – Jalan HR Rasuna Said.
