The launch of the area planning was marked by the planting dozens of trees along Jalan Sabang by the Mayor of Central Jakarta, Arifin.

"The immense potential along Jalan Sabang needs to be balanced with comprehensive development to prevent further congestion and chaos. This includes improving pedestrian corridors, organizing parking areas, and carefully curating MSME vendors, including traffic flow management," he explained.
The initial step in today's arrangement, added Arifin, is working in synergy with the Indonesian National Construction Implementation Association (Gapensi) to plant 70 trees along Jalan Sabang.
Apart from greening, his side will also introduce a night market or food street concept on Jalan Sabang.
"Nighttime culinary activities will be more organized and become a new tourist icon in Central Jakarta. Residents and tourists can enjoy curated culinary delights from fostered MSMEs on Jalan Sabang," he added.
Arifin emphasized that the development of this area does not limit existing business activities, but rather increases its attractiveness, thus attracting more visitors.
"We want Jalan Sabang to be a neat, clean, organized, green and comfortable area so that people can enjoy the atmosphere and culinary delights with a better impression," he stated.
