The number of visitors recorded exceeded 80,000 over the three days. The festival featured 52 discussion sessions involving 250 speakers, including 10 international speakers.
"The event also featured 27 performers, including musicians and other cultural performances. 72 MSME entrepreneurs also participated," he added.
Rano continued that the Jakarta Provincial Government also brought together academics and urban experts from various countries to discuss the future of global cities on the final day of the JFF 2026.
A total of 19 professors from a number of international universities were present to exchange ideas on urban development and urban design.
"The Jakarta Provincial Government has come up with concrete innovation and collaboration ideas to accelerate Jakarta's transformation," he continued.
According to him, one of the key events at this year's JFF is Jakarta's Forecast: Jakarta 500 - Memory, Character, and the Future as a Global City. This agenda provides a space for reflection on Jakarta's identity, character, and strategic position as it approaches its 500th anniversary in 2027.
"As Jakarta celebrates its fifth century on June 22 next year, development must be citizen-centered. Jakarta must belong to its residents, with the government acting as a facilitator, supporting public participation in city development," Rano stated.
Meanwhile, Atika Nur Rahmania, Head of the Jakarta Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), revealed that the Jakarta Provincial Government will immediately follow up on several ideas that emerged during the festival. One of the main focuses that emerged was the development of an urban knowledge ecosystem.
As a continuation of the Jakarta Future Festival, the Jakarta Provincial Government will inaugurate the Urban Knowledge Hub, which is expected to become a center for collaboration and development of urban knowledge.
"This is one of the things we will follow up on and coincidentally, the Governor will also inaugurate the Urban Knowledge Hub located on the 6th floor of Nyi Ageng Serang, South Jakarta as a continuation of the Jakarta Future Festival," she said.
As for information, the Jakarta Future Festival 2026 took place from June 5 to 7, 2026, with the theme Navigating Resilience.
The festival featured a variety of discussions, idea forums, innovation exhibitions, arts and cultural performances, MSME involvement, and collaborations with academics, communities, the private sector, and international partners.
