I want them to be blacklisted from public transportation in Jakarta
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said those responsible for vandalism would be placed on a blacklist and barred from accessing public transportation services operated by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

If they are public transport users, for example, I want them to be blacklisted from public transportation in Jakarta," Pramono said at Bunda Jakarta Mother and Child Hospital in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/10).
Pramono said the sanction is intended to deter offenders from damaging public facilities in the future. He stressed that the Jakarta administration will not tolerate vandalism, including the recent damage to the elevator at Lenteng Agung Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) in South Jakarta.
"If someone can no longer use public transportation, I believe it will significantly limit their mobility. Vandalism will certainly decline," he added.
Pramono noted that the elevator at Lenteng Agung Pedestrian Bridge remains unable to operate normally following the vandalism involving the cutting of electrical cables in early June 2026. He has instructed relevant agencies to investigate the incident and repair the damaged electrical network.
Governor emphasized that the city government remains committed to maintaining public infrastructure, including pedestrian bridges and crossings, which play an important role in improving convenience and accessibility for pedestrians.
