BTN JAKIM 2026, Traffic Engineering and Alternative Routes Provided

The Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency implemented traffic engineering and alternative routes during the BTN Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) 2026 which takes place over two days on Saturday (6/13) and Sunday (6/14).

Arrangements are made to support the smooth running of the event while minimizing the impact on public mobility.

Jakarta Provincial Government Fully Supports BTN JAKIM 2026

The 5K and 10K races will take place on Saturday, June 13, from 3 AM to 7:30 AM. The 21K Half Marathon and 42K Marathon races will take place on Sunday, June 14, from 3 AM to 11 AM.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency said traffic arrangements are carried out situationally by considering the safety of participants and the smooth flow of vehicles.

"We have prepared traffic management, diversions, and alternative routes on several roads used by marathon participants. We urge the public to adjust their travel times and choose the alternative routes provided to ensure the event runs smoothly," he said.

Budi added that on Saturday (6/13), traffic arrangements are situational on the road sections that intersect with the BTN JAKIM 2026 route, namely Gate 7 GBK; Jalan Jenderal Sudirman; Jalan Gatot Subroto (Semanggi Interchange-Jalan Gerbang Pemuda-In front of Lippo Mall Nusantara segment); Jalan Gerbang Pemuda; and Gate 10 GBK.

Meanwhile, alternative routes that can be taken during the BTN JAKIM 2026 activities on Saturday (6/13), are as follows:

a. Traffic from the North (Harmoni) to the East (Menteng) can go via Jl MH Thamrin-Jl Imam Bonjol-etc.;

b. Traffic from the South (Blok M) to the North (Tugu Tani) can go via Jl Trunojoyo-Jl Senopati-Jl Suryo-Jl Kapten Tendean-Jl Terusan Rasuna Said-Jl HR Rasuna Said-Jl HOS Cokroaminoto-Jl Dr GGS Ratulangi-Jl Menteng Raya, etc.;

x. People living around the East side of Jalan Pattimura (Jalan Galuh, Jalan Sriwijaya Raya, Jalan Purnawarman) heading south (Blok M) can use Jl. Senopati-Jl. Suryo-Jl. Wolter Monginsidi-Jl. Trunojoyo-Jl. Panglima Polim-etc.;

y. People around the East side of Tanah Abang (Jl. M. Mashabi, Jl. K.H. Wahid Hasyim, Jl. Kebon Sirih) who are heading North (Harmoni) can go via Jl. Jendral Sudirman-Jl. M.H Thamrin-Jl. Medan Merdeka Barat-Jl. Majapahit-etc.;

z. JLNT Antasari from both the North-South and South-North directions will be closed during the BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2026.

The Jakarta Transportation Agency has also prepared 19 parking locations around the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area and the National Monument (Monas) area with a total capacity of 3,964 four-wheeled vehicles and 11,015 two-wheeled vehicles.

The Jakarta Transportation Agency also modified the routes and operating patterns of a number of Transjakarta services during the activity.

On Saturday (6/13) there are 22 routes operating from 5 AM to 8 AM, while on Sunday, 14 June 2026 there are 44 routes operating from 5 AM to 11 AM.

Budi appealed to the public to use public transportation during the event.

"We encourage BTN Jakim 2026 participants to use public transportation such as Transjakarta, the Jakarta MRT, and the Commuter Line. Besides being more convenient, using public transportation also helps reduce traffic congestion around the event location," he appealed.
