87 HPR di Manggarai Selatan Divaksinasi Rabies

87 Pets in South Manggarai Receive Rabies Vaccination

As many as 87 pets in Manggarai Selatan Urban Village, Tebet District received anti-rabies vaccination held by South Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency.

Free rabies vaccination

Head of Tebet District's KPKP Unit, Irma Malini, said free rabies vaccination is carried out using a door-to-door system to make it easier for the public to access animal health services.

"Free rabies vaccination in South Manggarai was held on June 15, 17, and 18, 2026, with locations moving to reach more residents and pets," she said.

3,846 Animals in West Jakarta Vaccinated Against Rabies

Irma explained that by the second day of implementation, officers had successfully vaccinated 87 animals, consisting of 84 cats, two dogs, and one ferret.

She assessed that rabies vaccination is a crucial step in preventing the spread of rabies while also protecting the health of pets and the surrounding environment. This will ensure Jakarta's rabies-free status remains intact.

"We hope that rabies vaccinations can continue annually. This vaccination program is necessary because pets that have the potential to transmit rabies must receive a booster vaccine every year," she added.

Meanwhile, Head of Manggarai Selatan Urban Village's Economy and Development Section, Muhammad Triono appreciated the free rabies vaccination for residents' pets.

"We hope that this vaccination will help pets become healthier and more protected, thus preventing negative impacts on their owners and the surrounding community," he hoped.
