Jakarta City Council Chairman, Suhud Alynudin stressed that Jakarta is in the process of establishing a robust foundation for its emergence as a modern and competitive global city.

According to him, various developmental facets continue to be bolstered to ensure Jakarta’s transformation into a world-class city—one that excels not just in infrastructure, but also in its commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation.
"Jakarta is currently laying a solid foundation to become a modern, advanced, and highly civilized city, while also upholding environmental principles and sustainability," he expressed, at the City Council building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (6/23).

Suhud further urged all sectors of society—both the government and the public—to work together in maintaining and building upon Jakarta's developmental achievements.
He emphasized, the city's transformation into a global hub depends on more than just modern infrastructure; it also requires high-quality human capital, good governance, and excellence in public service delivery.
"Current achievements must be further reinforced and improved. It is essential to foster both government performance and community engagement to ensure that every sector in Jakarta supports our transition into a global city—whether in terms of human capital, infrastructure, governance, or public service delivery," he asserted.
