We urge the public to be more vigilant

Head of the Sub-agency, Herlina Merinda said the cuts were carried out as a follow-up to public reports, both through the JaKI application and direct reports.

"We conducted a check before pruning. The results showed that the 10 trees were deemed suitable for pruning," she said, Friday (6/26).

Herlina explained that 40 Green Troop personnel were deployed in the activity with the support of one ladder truck.

According to her, tree pruning is carried out as an anticipatory measure to prevent unwanted things from happening, especially when there is rain accompanied by strong winds.

"We urge the public to be more vigilant regarding current weather conditions. Residents are also encouraged to immediately report any trees that are broken or at risk of falling in their surroundings," she appealed.

Meanwhile, one of the residents, Agung appreciated the officers' swift response, particularly in pruning trees in Kerinci Park, Gunung Urban Village. Overhanging tree branches could potentially endanger park visitors.

"I saw that the pruning was done quickly, starting at 7 AM and was completed around 9 AM, the results were also neat," he admitted.
