PT PPI & PT RNI Involved to Maintain Food Stock

PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya or Food Station does not only open the market operation during Ramadhan, but also involving PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI) and PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RNI) to guarantee food supply in the capital.

We request PPI to supply sugar. We also plan to supply cooking oil where it was been prepared since a few months ago

PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Director, Arief Prasetyo Adi disclosed has coordinated with the Logistic Agency (Bulog) providing rice supply up to 200 thousand tons.

"We actually have been cooperating since early last year. We also prepared rice supply from February. We had a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bulog," he stated, Wednesday (6/15).

Staple Food Stock up to Eid ul Fitr Sufficient

While for other commodities such as sugar and cooking oil, his side cooperates with PT PPI and PT RNI. Especially for gula, PT PPI had supplied 20 tons only. This is because it is not yet entering milling season. But, in the near future, 100 tons of sugar will be supplied.

"We request PPI to supply sugar. We also plan to supply cooking oil where it was been prepared since a few months ago," he expressed.

Adi admitted the market operation has been opened at some locations. According to mandate of Jakarta Governor, the market is focused on schools and flats thus it can be on target.

"Among them are in SDN 03 Palmerah, SDN Meruya Selatan, Marunda Flat, etc. We also give to headmen after requesting, plus Pasar Jaya. So if we visit to Food Station, we have stock in the warehouse," he uttered.
