Six workers have been deployed to repair the 200-meter stretch of sidewalk. To date, the project has reached the 50% milestone, with 100 meters already completed.
"The project commenced a week ago and is slated for completion by mid-July," he explained.
Fathur called on the public, particularly motorists, to refrain from driving or parking on the sidewalk, as it could damage the newly repaired infrastructure.
"Sidewalks are for people, not for vehicles. They are meant for pedestrians and commuters accessing public transit. Let’s not allow these newly improved facilities to be ruined by reckless and irresponsible behavior," he explained.
The repairs received appreciation from the local, Baharudin.
"The sidewalk was previously damaged in several areas, which hindered residents heading to the mosque for prayer. Its condition has now significantly improved," he pointed out.
