The South Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency gave rabies vaccinations to 1,454 Rabies-Transmitting Animals (HPR) throughout June 2026.

Irawati explained that of the 1,454 animals vaccinated, cats received the most vaccinations, with 1,338 animals. Additionally, 94 dogs, 18 monkeys, and four ferrets were also vaccinated.
"We continue to ensure that Jakarta can maintain its rabies-free status through the implementation of free rabies vaccinations on a massive scale," she added.
Entering July 2026, the sub-agency will resume free rabies vaccination services in six urban villages. The program will run from July 6 to 16, 2026.
