5,674 Hazardous Trees Pruned Across Central Jakarta Since January

From January to July 6, 2026, the Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency pruned 5,674 trees at risk of falling across eight sub-districts.

It’s all about keeping the community safe and comfortable

Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda stated, this massive tree-maintenance effort follows through on public concerns reported via various platforms and routine inspections.

"We are mitigating the risk of fallen trees during storms to provide peace of mind for our residents. It’s all about keeping the community safe and comfortable," she expressed, Tuesday (7/7).

3,651 Trees Prone to Falling in Central Jakarta Pruned

Breaking down the figures, Mila noted that the team performed 894 light trims, 3,380 medium prunes, and 1,175 heavy prunings, while 225 hazardous trees were cut down.

"Our teams have also been on the front lines, clearing 63 fallen trees and 59 broken limbs between January and mid-July," she added.
