Free Rabies Vaccinations Coming to Five West Jakarta Urban Villages This July

The West Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency plans to conduct rabies vaccinations for rabies-transmitting animals (HPR) in five urban villages throughout July 2026.

Through a door-to-door approach in residential neighborhoods

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Livestock and Animal Health Section Head Tanti said the initiative will cover Tomang Urban Village in Grogol Petamburan Sub-district, Tegal Alur Urban Village in Kalideres Sub-district, Cengkareng Barat Urban Village in Cengkareng Sub-district, Duri Selatan Urban Village in Tambora Sub-district, and Palmerah Urban Village in Palmerah Sub-district.

"The vaccinations will be carried out through a door-to-door approach in residential neighborhoods, and the service is free of charge," she noted on Tuesday (7/7).

According to her, vaccinations in Tomang Urban Village are scheduled for RW 04 on Tuesday (7/7), RW 05 on Wednesday (7/8), and RW 06 on Thursday (7/9).

In Tegal Alur Urban Village, the campaign will cover RW 14 on Tuesday (7/14), RW 15 on Wednesday (7/15), and RW 16 on Thursday (7/16).

In Duri Selatan Urban Village, vaccinations are scheduled for RW 01 on Tuesday (7/14), RW 06 on Wednesday (7/15), and RW 07 on Thursday (7/16).

In Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, vaccinations will take place in RW 03 on Tuesday (7/7), RW 04 on Wednesday (7/8), RW 18 on Thursday (7/9), RW 11 on Tuesday (7/14), RW 12 on Wednesday (7/15), RW 09 on Thursday (7/16), and RW 08 on Tuesday (7/21).

Meanwhile, in Palmerah Urban Village, vaccinations are scheduled for RW 01 on Tuesday (7/14), RW 02 on Wednesday (7/15), RW 03 on Thursday (7/16), RW 05 on Tuesday (7/21), RW 11 on Thursday (7/23), RW 13 on Tuesday (7/28), RW 15 on Wednesday (7/29), and RW 17 on Thursday (7/30).

Tanti emphasized that the program is open to pet owners who hold a Jakarta ID card (KTP) and reside in Jakarta. Animals must be at least four months old, healthy, and neither pregnant nor nursing to receive the vaccine.

"As of June 2026, we have vaccinated 4,303 rabies-transmitting animals. Our target this year is to vaccinate 9,300 animals," she asserted.
