Subki also monitored the implementation of MPLS in several schools on the first day of school. Based on the monitoring results, the activities proceeded orderly and without significant problems.
Parents Enthusiastically Drop Off Their Children on the First Day of MPLS"Today I monitored several schools, especially in the surrounding areas. Overall, everything went smoothly," he said, Monday (7/13).
He also praised the enthusiasm of students returning to school after the long holiday. He noted that this enthusiasm was also supported by the high level of parental participation through the Fathers Take Their Children to School Movement (GAMAS).
"The children's enthusiasm for returning to school on their first day was extraordinary. Parents were also very enthusiastic about taking their children to school. This is a very encouraging situation, as it shows that the spirit of education in Jakarta continues to grow and its quality is improving," he stated.
Meanwhile, Subki also responded to the terror attack at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Pagi in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. He assessed the attack as the work of an irresponsible party.
Subki added the action was allegedly intended only to create unrest and panic within the school environment. Therefore, he requested that the handling of the incident be handed over to the appropriate authorities.
"We'll leave it to the authorities to resolve this issue. Our police officers have already taken precautions, so hopefully there won't be any problems," he hoped.
