North Jakarta KPKP is Intensively Monitoring Animal Health Service Licensing

The North Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency is intensifying business licensing supervision of animal health service activities in six districts to ensure all facilities meet regulatory standards, legality, and applicable provisions.

Comply with applicable procedures and legal provisions

North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Head Section of Animal Husbandry and Health, Adil Abdillah said this supervision is a follow-up to the direction of the Head of the Jakarta KPKP Agency to increase business actors' compliance with licensing provisions.

"This activity is to ensure that animal health services in North Jakarta comply with applicable procedures and legal provisions," he said, Thursday (7/16).

The monitoring activities take place for a week, from 10 to 17 July 2026, involving the KPKP Implementation Unit at the district level.

"We have visited more than 10 locations to carry out comprehensive inspections," he added.

According to him, the inspection includes the suitability of the practice location, the completeness of business licensing documents, and the Practice Permit (SIP) for veterinary medical personnel.

"Supervision is not only focused on administrative aspects, but also aims to provide protection to animal owners, veterinary medical personnel, and guarantee the quality of animal health services," he explained.

Adil appealed to all owners of veterinary clinics and independent practices to immediately complete the licensing documents if there are still requirements that have not been met.

Meanwhile, a veterinarian who practices in Kelapa Gading District, Zakiyatul Sadri (26) appreciates the implementation of this supervision.

"Regular supervision is necessary to prevent substandard practices and minimize the potential for negligence in animal handling," she stated.

She hopes that similar activities can be carried out continuously to maintain the professionalism and credibility of animal health services in North Jakarta.
