Joint Personnel Sweep Illegal Parking and Stalls in West Jakarta

Some 30 joint personnel conducted a crackdown on illegal parking and street vendors on Jalan Kota Bambu Raya, West Jakarta. The operation resulted in the ticketing of 28 motorcycles and the removal of 15 sidewalk stalls.

We have taken action to clear them out

Palmerah Satpol PP Head, Rojikin states this joint effort between the Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, police, and army is all about restoring order and comfort to the area.

"We identified 15 street stalls encroaching on the roadsides and sidewalks. We have taken action to clear them out," he expressed, Friday (7/17).

Illegal Parking Control Expected to Remain Facilitate Ojol Waiting Areas

Further actions were taken against illegal parking, resulting in six impounded motorcycles and 22 tire valve removals. It aimed to educate the community on the importance of keeping sidewalks and roads clear.

"Illegal stalls and parking are prime triggers for congestion. We urge people to remain orderly and stop misusing public spaces for business or parking," he concluded.

This operation received appreciation from one of the locals from RW 04, Kota Bambu Utara Urban Village.

He admitted that illegal vendors and parking have long disrupted the traffic flow adjacent to Harapan Kita Hospital.

"The presence of illegal parking, in particular, is highly disruptive and acts as a major trigger for traffic congestion," he concluded.
