Tens of Hackers Had Attacked Online PPDB

Head of Jakarta Education Dept, Sopan Adriyanto acknowledged the new student registration (PPBD) website was hacked by tens of hackers. Thus the website had experienced problems.

"The server is experiencing problem due to dense traffic and hacker attack," he stated, Thursday (6/16).

Sopan disclosed has coordinated with Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Public Transport Dept to be able to provide a backup server. "We have discussed with the IT team, and coordinated with Communication Dept for backup," he expressed.

Nevertheless, he politely asks the public not to panic. His dept immediately fixes PPDB website that can quickly be accessed. Thus people can register their children to go to high school level or equivalent.

"It will soon be resolved by involving the various parties," he said.

His dept decided to extend the registration. According to PPDB schedule, it is opened for two days, precisely June 15-16.
