PAUD Students in South Jakarta Receive History and Culture Education

A total of 200 Early Childhood Education (PAUD) students participated in the Get to Know Museums from an Early Age (KeMuDI) activity organized by the Jakarta Education Agency in commemoration of National Children's Day 2026.

Explore the wider world

Head of PAUD South Jakarta, Azizah Syafrin Liputo said this activity aims to encourage preschool children to learn in a fun way while also exploring their surroundings. Through learning outside the classroom, it is also hoped that children will develop a sense of curiosity from an early age.

"Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom. Every new experience is an opportunity to increase knowledge, develop courage, and explore the wider world," she said, Friday (7/24).

Azizah expressed her appreciation to the teachers and all the assistants who have shown their dedication and commitment in accompanying the children during their learning activities outside the classroom.

Meanwhile, Head of the South Jakarta Region I Education Sub-agency, Santoso, added that KeMuDI is a means for children to learn about Indonesian history and culture through a fun learning experience.

Santoso explained that 200 students visited the Maritime Museum in North Jakarta. The participants traveled by Transjakarta bus and school bus.

"The children were invited to tour the various collections and learn about the maritime history of the archipelago," he explained.

He hopes that this activity can provide new experiences and introduce the richness of Indonesian history and culture to children from an early age.
