He also reminded residents not to be easily provoked to prevent the conflict from escalating further.

"Specifically, as the Governor, I call on all our people to keep a cool head and refrain from any provocative actions that could potentially widen the conflict," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (7/28).

The public is also urged to refrain from spreading hoaxes or damaging public facilities. He called on all walks of life to work together in safeguarding Jakarta, as the city was built on the foundation of respecting diversity.

"I invite everyone—as I have repeatedly stated—to protect Jakarta together. Hence, Jaga Jakarta (Protect Jakarta) becomes crucial in circumstances like these," he explained.

On this occasion, he expressed his deep concern over the incident that occurred in the Matraman area.

To prevent similar occurrences, he stated that he has instructed the Jakarta government to coordinate with law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and youth figures.

Through this coordination, Pramono hopes the situation will become increasingly stable and that peace will be restored.

"We have made coordination between the army, the police, and the Jakarta administration to keep things under control," he added.

Further, he fully supports the efforts of law enforcement agencies in conducting investigations in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.

"I call on law enforcement to resolve this matter properly, conducting investigations and inquiries in line with the applicable laws and regulations," he stated.
