"As Jakarta transforms into a globally competitive city, strengthening higher education and research has become one of our priorities," Pramono emphasized.

He added that the Jakarta Provincial Government aims to accelerate innovation while strengthening Jakarta's position as a center for education, innovation, and economic growth.

According to Pramono, the discussion will play an important role in building an ecosystem where education, research, and innovation can thrive.

Representatives from six universities, both domestic and international, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Georgetown University, Universitas Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and Universitas Negeri Jakarta, took part in the discussion to provide input on the development of the Jakarta Education and Innovation Center.

"Our goal is to turn this idea into a roadmap that can be implemented to support future collaboration," he said.

The discussion's outcomes will serve as the basis for the Jakarta Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) to develop the institutional framework, partnership model, and roadmap for the Jakarta Education and Innovation Center.
