Appreciating Legislative Support, Pramono said DBH is Crucial for Jakarta`s Development

The Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, appreciated the legislative support that continues to voice the need for the Jakarta Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) to receive government attention.

Good for Jakarta's development

This was conveyed by Pramono when attending a gathering with the leadership of the Jakarta Provincial DPRD, the DPR RI for the Jakarta electoral district and the DPD RI for the Jakarta electoral district, in the Plenary Meeting Room, Jakarta DPRD, Thursday (7/30).

This friendly meeting between the Executive and Legislative highlighted the importance of Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) for Jakarta's development, following the Rp 15 trillion DBH cut.

"Regarding the Revenue Sharing Fund, Jakarta certainly needs it. So, if our partners in the DPR RI, DPD RI, and the Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council join in voicing their opinions, that would be very good for Jakarta's development," said Pramono.

Despite facing significant cuts in DBH, Pramono emphasized the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to prioritizing three fundamental sectors namely education, health, and civil servant welfare.

In the education sector, the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to distribute educational assistance through the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), the Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU), free private school, and plans to provide LPDP scholarships.

Meanwhile, in the health sector, Jakarta provides complete health facilities, consisting of 31 regional general hospitals, 44 community health centers, and 292 sub-community health centers that can be accessed with BPJS Kesehatan.

To ensure that DBH cuts do not disrupt Jakarta's development, Pramono is utilizing creative financing to accelerate various public infrastructure projects.

"This is why Jakarta is still able to develop well, despite significant cuts to its DBH. The impact of this DBH is felt everywhere," he added.

He gave examples of several developments that used creative financing so as not to burden the regional budget, namely the Honda Tebet Park, Semanggi Park, the Dukuh Atas pedestrian deck, and others.

With this creative financing, the Jakarta Provincial Government can use the Regional Budget optimally for basic needs and community welfare.

Some of the creative financing schemes used by the Jakarta Provincial Government include the Building Floor Coefficient (KLB), naming rights, and the planned issuance of regional bonds.

Therefore, Pramono expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council for its full support of the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to all members of the Jakarta Provincial DPRD who have truly provided full support," he admitted.
