The Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) held a gathering with representatives of the MPR RI, DPR RI, DPD RI, and elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) in an event entitled 'Building Jakarta: Central and Regional Synergy Towards a New Era for Jakarta'.
The beginning of closer synergy
Chairman of Jakarta DPRD, Suhud Alynudin said this activity is an important momentum to strengthen coordination between regional and central legislatures in fighting for the interests of Jakarta residents.
Appreciating Legislative Support, Pramono said DBH is Crucial for Jakarta`s Development"We hope that today's meeting will be the beginning of closer synergy in fighting for the interests and welfare of the people of Jakarta," he said, Thursday (7/30).
He explained that one strategic issue that needs to be focused together is the Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) for Jakarta. He believes that adequate fiscal support is not only crucial for the capital's development but also represents an investment in the national economic center.
"Adequate fiscal support will accelerate the improvement of public services and strengthen Jakarta's competitiveness as a global city whose benefits can be felt by all Indonesians," he added.
Suhud hopes that members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) will oversee the deliberations on the State Budget (APBN) so that the transfer funds for DKI Jakarta can be disbursed promptly. He believes the disbursement of these funds will help the Jakarta Provincial Government accelerate the implementation of various development programs and improve public services.
Suhud stated that the Jakarta DPRD is committed to continuing to build communication and collaboration with the central government to realize Jakarta as a global city that is advanced, competitive, and provides benefits to all residents.
"Hopefully this meeting will produce ideas, commitments and real steps that will bring benefits to the City of Jakarta," he hoped.
