Latumenten Flyover Construction Progress Reaches 63 Percent

Entering its 40th week, construction of the Latumenten Flyover in Grogol, West Jakarta, has reached 63 percent completion. One of the most crucial tasks, girder erection at the railway crossing, has been completed.

"The girder erection process at a railway crossing is a highly complex process. All work is carried out through careful planning and strict supervision, prioritizing safety, security, and construction accuracy," she said, Thursday (7/30).
Wenny explained that the Latumeten Flyover provides various benefits for the community, starting from improving safety by eliminating the railway level crossing, reducing traffic congestion in the West Jakarta area, facilitating intermodal transfers through connectivity between the Transjakarta Bus Stop and Grogol Station, to supporting the smooth operation of train travel.
"The Latumeten Flyover is built as part of the Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts to improve transportation connectivity and overcome traffic jams that have occurred due to the railway level crossing in the area," she explained.
As for information, the Latumenten Flyover infrastructure consists of two spans. The Slipi-bound stretch is approximately 435 meters long and 11 meters wide, while the Grogol-bound stretch is approximately 420 meters long and the same width. Each stretch features two lanes for public transportation and one busway lane. Construction of the flyover is targeted for completion by December 15, 2026.
