Illegal Buildings on Jalan Rasamala Hijau III Demolished

A total of 20 illegal buildings standing on a 3,300 square meter plot of land on Jalan Rasamala Hijau III, RT 003 RW 09, Duri Kosambi Urban Village, Cengkareng, were demolished by joint officers from the West Jakarta City Government.

Prioritize humanity and a good approach

Head of Cengkareng District, Suhardin said the illegal building was demolished because it was built on land belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"We continue to prioritize humanity and a good approach, in accordance with applicable regulatory mechanisms," he said, Thursday (7/30).

Suhardin explained that in recent years a number of individuals have constructed semi-permanent buildings without permits on the land for personal and group interests.

Previously, Suhardin admitted that he had given warnings up to warnings 1, 2 and 3. However, because the warnings were not heeded, his party was forced to control the buildings on the land assets of the Jakarta Provincial Government with the purpose of sports.

"We secure government assets so that they are not misused for personal or group interests," he added.

Head of West Jakarta Youth and Sport Sub-agency, Joko Suparno explained his party has prepared further steps to secure assets by installing fencing. He emphasized that the budget for securing assets with fencing is available and will be implemented soon.

"After the administrative stages are completed, we will immediately carry out follow-up in the field as part of an effort to restore the function of government assets as sports facilities," he admitted.
