The revitalization of a 200-square-meter plot along Jalan Raya Daan Mogot in Kalideres, West Jakarta, is officially complete. After starting the project in May, the area has been successfully transformed into a welcoming public space.
This space is designed for pedestrians
Kalideres Sub-district Head, Ziki Zulkarnaen, explained that the once-idle lot has been converted into a Green Open Space (RTH), now featuring vibrant murals and a community security post.
"This space is designed for pedestrians. Beyond being a hub for social interaction, it’s also a perfect spot for selfies thanks to the artistic murals," he expressed, Monday (8/3).

It serves as a visual call to action for residents to live in harmony and work together to protect the capital.
This transformation was made possible through a collaborative effort between the RW 17 community and Mitra 10. District officials hope this partnership will serve as a blueprint for other areas in Kalideres to beautify their own neighborhoods.
"We're deeply grateful to our partners. I hope to see similar initiatives flourish in Kalideres," he emphasized.
Kalideres Urban Village Head, Rizky Dwiputra, noted that the site—strategically located at the intersection of Jalan Raya Daan Mogot and Jalan Tampak Siring—is the district’s Q2 Flagship Revitalization Project.
"This transformation was done by our dedicated PPSU personnel and took approximately three months to complete," he explained.
He added that the newly installed security post is designed to empower residents in monitoring their neighborhood, ensuring a safer and more welcoming environment for everyone.
RW 17 Kalideres Chairman, Susanto remarked that the revitalization does more than just enhance the area’s aesthetics—it instills a sense of pride and encourages residents to actively maintain their neighborhood.
"This transformation has truly inspired us to keep raising the bar and improving our environment even further," he concluded.
