Six personnel from the Kramat Jati District Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) have been deployed to monitor a 6,000-square-meter vacant lot on Jalan Penggilingan Baru RT 13/03, Dukuh Urban Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, to ensure that neither residents nor other parties use the site as a waste dumping ground.

Head of Kramat Jati Satpol PP, Endharwanto said supervision is being conducted in accordance with leadership directives as a proactive measure to prevent the issue of illegal waste dumping from recurring.

"We are continuing to conduct on-site monitoring, including at night," he said.

Endharwanto explained that the situation at the site is currently relatively under control. In addition to monitoring by Satpol PP personnel, access to the vacant land has also been cut off.

Previously, there was access in the form of a board used by vehicles to cross the water channel. The access was closed with a board after the water channel that ran across it was previously blocked using rubble.

The area also experienced a fire on Saturday (8/1), which affected a firefighter after they had carried out firefighting operations.

"The process of hauling waste from the site has now been halted," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Kramat Jati Environment Unit, Dwi Firmansyah said the final transport took place on Thursday (8/6).

Transport operations were halted after heavy equipment belonging to the Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) was withdrawn from the site and vehicle access to the land was cut off.

The waste removal process was carried out from Monday (8/3) to Thursday (8/6). During that period, a total of 43 truckloads of waste were successfully removed from the vacant lot.

"Each truck has a capacity of approximately six cubic meters, with a load ranging from three to five tons," he added.

According to him, out of the 43 truckloads of waste collected, eight trucks containing residual waste were transported to the Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Treatment Facility in Bekasi, West Java.

"Debris consisting of wood, tree trunks, and similar materials is transported to the TB Simatupang Waste Screen (SSTBS) on Jalan TB Simatupang, Tanjung Barat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta," he stated.
