Council Pushes for Public-Private Synergy to Leverage Jakarta’s Assets at JAFEX 2026

Jakarta Legislative Council Vice Chairwoman, Rany Mauliani evaluates the success of the Jakarta Asset Forum & Expo (JAFEX) 2025 through two main metrics: the growth of Regional Income (PAD) and heightened investment inflows to the city.

Success across both areas is vital

According to her, fostering investor confidence is a cornerstone of the JAFEX 2026 agenda. The council remains committed to supporting creative financing models to strengthen the capital’s development budget.

"Success across both areas is vital. Boosting PAD and securing investor commitment are the primary goals we aim to achieve through JAFEX," she expressed, Wednesday (8/12).

According to her, the vast scale of Jakarta’s development necessitates significant costs, thus requiring a collaborative approach. She believes that increased economic activity driven by investment will serve as a catalyst for public well-being.

Further, she emphasized that legal certainty, along with a secure and favorable environment, is vital to building investor confidence in Jakarta. She hoped that public-private cooperation would yield mutual benefits while simultaneously fostering economic expansion and community welfare.

"We aim for the prosperity of the public and for their every need to be addressed; we are fully committed to supporting that objective," she remarked.

Commission B Vice Chairman, Wahyu Dewanto urged the Jakarta government to be more transparent in offering regional assets to the private sector. He noted, Jakarta possesses assets valued at hundreds of trillions of rupiah that could be optimized through collaboration and creative financing.

"It's time for the regional government to open up. Whether from government agencies or regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), it must be clear what is being offered. This should be done through a framework of collaboration, transparency, and creative financing," he added.

Earlier, Governor Pramono Anung officially opened JAFEX 2026 at The St. Regis Jakarta. The event was held to drive the optimization of regional assets as economic catalysts and long-term value creators, while simultaneously opening business opportunities for the public.

As part of Jakarta’s strategic transition toward becoming a global city, the administration has implemented a large-scale asset certification program. This effort achieved a MURI record for the issuance of 4,482 certificates across 667 hectares, representing an asset valuation by Rp 126.9 trillion.

During JAFEX 2026, the Jakarta government is showcasing 41 prime assets from 13 Regional Government Work Units (SKPD), representing an investment pipeline of roughly Rp 13.1 trillion.
