Odd-Even System Encouraged People Use Public Transport

Jakarta Dept. of Transportation stated odd-even traffic system implementation is held after 3 in 1 abolition is unable to encourage people using public transport. The number of Transjakarta passenger surge is also not significant.

But people remain using their vehicles

Andri Yansyah, head of agency, said the number of Transjakarta buses are 493 units. It is added with 850 buses from Transportation Ministry. In fact, it is still unable to attract people move from private to public transport.

“Busway sterilization has been also done. But people remain using their vehicles. That’s why odd-even traffic system is applied,” he said Monday (6/20).

Odd-Even to Be Applied at 3 in 1 Zone

He hopes this system will attract people using public transport. Bus armada will be also added to support the target.
